Just down the sidewalk, more amazing art will soon catch your eye in Cameron Village. Charlotte Russell is bringing works from emerging and mid-career artists from the Bay Area and around the country to Raleigh. Russell says representing all types of artists is important to her and she’s excited to bring those diverse works to Villagers. “ CRC Gallery is committed to an inclusive art experience by presenting high quality artwork by artists all along the spectrum including underrepresented artists, women artists, and artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
Located in the former Tin Roof Teas location, CRC Gallery opens January 8, 2021 through May 28, 2021. Russell said the Village is the perfect spot for the Gallery’s pop-ups, “CRC Gallery is thrilled to pop up in Cameron Village, the premier shopping district of Raleigh.”
CRC Gallery will host two exhibitions in Cameron Village. The first exhibition, On the Horizon, runs January 8 – March 26, 2021 and features artworks by two contemporary female artists: Alexandra Chiou and Grace Ann Clark. The artworks on view discuss terrain, the horizon line, and our connection to nature. Each with their own artistic approach, both female artists discuss art as a means for hope, possibility and discovery.
The second exhibition, Art Ritual, runs April 9- May 28, 2021. Art Ritual is a group exhibition featuring contemporary artwork that explores the ritual of art making. Selected artists include King Nobuyoshi Godwin, Rebecca Kaufman, Joy Tirade, Ethel Revita, and Evelyn Reyes.
