A Toast to Fall

Autumn is more than cooler weather and changing leaves, especially in Raleigh when we still have warm days. Warm or cool, fall is one of our favorite times to raise a glass with family and friends to toast the season.

Whether you’re trying new brews during an Oktoberfest celebration, sipping a seasonal cocktail or enjoying your Pumpkin Spice Latte, Cameron Village is the place to find the best tastes of autumn.

Cheers!

We all see cocktails and signature drinks around the holidays, but why wait until then? Fall is a great time to sip some new seasonal flavors. Tazza Kitchen in Cameron Village has a craft beverage program featuring unique small-production wines, innovative local brews, and cocktails made with premium spirits.

Manager Reggie McGee says this season’s drink menu features favorites and exciting new concoctions with names like “Southern Voodoo,” “Weird Night Out,” and “Mister November,” designed by Mara Sudol. He says, “Our cocktail lists change with the season. Seasonal ingredients paired with a Mara’s creativity have made this Fall Cocktail List one of our best yet!”

At so.ca Latina Cocina, visitors to Cameron Village can try a large selection of Latin-inspired street and Caribbean soul small plates. Co-owner Sean Degnan says now is the perfect time of year to gather a group of friends for brunch or a night out at so.ca. He says, “While fall has arrived, it still feels like summer outside, so our transition into the new season with cocktails focuses on undertones of fall, while still showcasing refreshing summer flavors.”

One of those new cocktails are the “Scorpion & the Frog” made with Olmecca Altos Reposado, charred citrus, cucumber, cinnamon and agave. Another new cocktail sure to become a favorite is Passionada made with light rum, Cachaca, passionfruit, mango, ginger and citrus.

Degnan explains the autumn changes don’t stop with cocktails,“We’re really excited to transition into fall beers, as well, with our great friends at Trophy Brewing. Two of their beers we’re most looking forward to having are the Oktoberfest and the ‘Milky Way’ Stout brewed with Salted Caramel.”

Pulling a Pint

Village Draft House prides itself on being one of Raleigh’s best beer spots. With 100 beers on tap, this Cameron Village favorite introduces fall brews for the season. Meet up with friends for lunch or toast Oktoberfest.

With an extensive menu featuring hand-pattied burgers, sandwiches and appetizers including Village Draft House’s signature pickle chips, it’s the perfect spot for catching a Sunday NFL game with friends this season too.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

That delicious PSL we wait for all year is here, but at the Cameron Village Starbucks, customers have been sipping on more than Pumpkin Spice this fall. Starbucks District Manager Ed Harvey explained the Salted Caramel Latte is another popular drink this time of year but says it doesn’t stop there. Starbucks has introduced some delicious new coffee beverages this season. Harvey was excited to share that the Cameron Village location is offering the Cordusio. He describes it as “An espresso mocha with steamed milk.”

Not in the mood for hot coffee yet? Harvey says Starbucks cold drinks are better than ever. He says, “Cold Foam is the newest thing we have going on! The cold brew just brings a new element to our beverages.”

Before you start your shopping at Cameron Village stop in to the newly designed Starbucks. Harvey details what customers can expect, “They’ll find fantastic beverage quality, great customer service an always innovative beverage options.”
